Week 5 Update
Hey everyone, this is Axel, the media director of our team. This week, I have fixed 2 programming/driver station computers and updated software on one of our older computers.
I have taken some pictures of our current progress of construction.
Hey guys! I’m Visakan, the electrical lead, and I’m back to tell you guys more about wiring! This week has been very important for wiring and we have gotten a lot of stuff done. We finished the CAN (Controller Area Network - Basically the code flows through this) wiring for all the subsystems on the robot in 2 days but the climb is yet to be put on the robot so the CAN loop for that can’t be terminated on the CANivore (creates a 2nd CAN loop). However, we were able to finish the CAN loop for the swerve modules (the motors that make the robot move) in one day. We connected all the power, sensor, and CAN wires from the subsystems on the elevator to the PDH (Power Distribution Hub) with the help of the Energy chain which took 1 day. The only thing left for us to do is wire management and finishing the CAN loop with the climb which will be done very soon!
