FIRST Ladies
Mission:
FIRST Ladies is an international community for FTC/FRC teams who are dedicated to promoting gender inclusion, collaboration, and kindness in FIRST Robotics. We believe that inclusion in robotics can only be achieved if everyone uses their platform to spread encouragement, and that underrepresented voices should be amplified. We are here to bring teams and individuals together so we can all grow our outreach programs and impact both our local communities and FIRST programs all over the world.
AZTECH Robotics is thrilled to have partnered with FIRST Ladies for the past two years in order to support inclusion in robotics for students of every gender.
Inclusion Events
These events, completely student-run, are intended to address an issue in STEM when it comes to inclusion; including disparities among opportunities, giving a voice to those who feel they have none, and generally opening up a space for gender minorities in STEM.
Gender Minority Roundtable
Starting at the 2024 AZ East FRC Regional, AZTECH Robotics created an opportunity for all gender minorities to come together and talk about their experiences in the STEM community. This event will become a yearly event moving forward.
